Emirati Engineer Invents a System to Unify Electronic Accounts

Emirati engineer Ahmed Al Zarouni has succeeded in inventing a technical system to unify and consolidate electronic accounts, whether those of social media or email, through a single link that includes data introducing companies and individuals.

Al Zarouni said that the system he invented, named 'Link Connects,' is a one-of-a-kind initiative that eliminates the problems of repeatedly writing down electronic accounts of all kinds, whether on business cards for companies or individuals, through a single link that gathers all electronic accounts, including those of all social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Keek and YouTube, in addition to email addresses, and data about the person or organization and the geographic location. He affirmed that the system is set up to unify around 55 different electronic accounts.

He added that the electronic system was developed to currently operate in five languages, including Arabic, English, Spanish, Russian and Japanese, noting that the new system was launched more than four weeks ago and currently operates through a company licensed by the Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Al Zarouni explained that, from the moment he thought of launching the system, and after making sure there were no similar systems on a global level, he worked on experimental steps to arrive at the simplest ways to use the system, through a survey of a number of individuals who tried it.

He stated that the system takes only a few minutes to register on, and that one can register using the social media sites Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus, as well as email, with the ability to add links to social media accounts, or chat accounts such as BlackBerry Messenger and Skype, or video-game accounts such as PlayStation and others.

Al Zarouni confirmed that the system has seen strong registration demand since its launch, with the number of users currently exceeding 2,000, pointing out that the account categories classified in the system are divided into: government entity accounts, private company accounts, individual accounts, and accounts for apps and programmers. A category was also developed for candidates' accounts, enabling a candidate in any election to place their electoral program and résumé on the system's link to present to voters.

Al Zarouni added that the system also offers premium accounts, which allow accounts and images to be displayed more prominently than other ordinary accounts, explaining that the technical system functions as an electronic social network with a more advanced concept than traditional accounts, and can be used at both the local and global levels.

He revealed that negotiations are currently underway with local companies and organizations to use the system, which saves marketing efforts through a single link for all of a company's electronic account addresses, while displaying marketing data, videos and images about those companies through a unified link featuring a presentation interface in five languages.

Al Zarouni affirmed that he is currently working on developing the innovative technical system to make new features available in early 2016, stressing that he has worked to provide security and safety features to protect users' data through the system.
