Google's Services and the Region: What is Happening?
What is known is not known! And the immense degree of progress in real applications of artificial intelligence in its proper form, "not the bubbles spread by sellers leaving us in agony."
But there is a large gap, and many wonder about the reason for the great injustice in providing Google's services and devices and other devices from Alphabet "the company that owns Google" in the Arab region. It is true that most of these devices and applications reach people one way or another and are sold unofficially through several stores, but this is not the official way.
The pretext may be the provision of technical support, yet a large number of people usually do not need technical support, and providing unified technical support for all Arab countries is a simple matter for a giant company like Google, just as Apple does. But things are closed off! For example, methods of preventing sales even extend to address-forwarding companies such as Shop and Ship, which has been banned from Google's official store, and likewise Visa cards must be issued from America or supported countries. There are several factors that may enter into the calculation, but all companies allow purchasing from them through address-forwarding companies and accept international bank cards, except for Google!!
List of Services and Devices
Most of the devices are not officially available, such as Nest devices like the smart air-conditioning thermostat, the Nest smoke and carbon monoxide detector "the best device, hands down," the Google TV dongle for turning televisions into smart ones, Nest cameras, the Nest doorbell, and other devices. As for applications, we find that Android Auto is not available in the Arab stores such as those of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others, which is annoying, as well as the YouTube Kids app and other services. Even Google's phones are not available, with no sign of their availability soon or later! Indeed, based on the data, I see that they will not come soon unless some incident occurs and the direction changes!
Google's Cloud Services and the Region
While we see giant companies like Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and even the services of Huawei, Alibaba, G42, and other cloud services scrambling, we find that Google has no foothold whatsoever, and even its enterprise services suffer from weak representation, and you hardly hear any mention of them.
Why this strange orientation toward one of the largest markets in the world and one of its most successful, despite most people's love for Google's services such as Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail, and the wonderful Google Docs? Yet these policies require a renewed feasibility study and major official support at the very same prices as in America, or very close to them.
